Image: 'Late Night Stop' - Shortlisted, 2013 World Photo Awards
I’m a Fine Art photographer, based in Sydney, Australia. I studied at both Canterbury College of Art and the School of Communication Arts in the UK, and also Sydney College Of Art in Australia. I've also had a career in advertising, winning many international accolades including a coveted Grand Prix at Cannes.
I am primarily interested in documenting the everyday world around me, with a particular interest in post-natural, human-influenced landscapes. This interest forces me to discover places I never knew existed and surround myself with the unfamiliar. I find these environments dynamic and exciting because they are in a constant state of flux; humans continually change their relationship with their surroundings, for better and for worse, serving up myriad new subject matter. Much of my landscape work also explores the notion of place in the context of my dual citizenship of both Australia and the UK.
My work has been awarded both locally and internationally highlights include: World Photo Awards - Shortlisted, 3rd place Australia National Award and several commended images; HeadOn Landscape Prize - Finalist 2013 & 2014; CLIP Award - winner Regional Landscape Prize, finalist; QCP ‘Space & Place’ 3rd place; CCP, Melbourne, Kodak Salon winner Best Architectural Image; Exposure New York - finalist.
